The New Rugg Family is begun
Late in the evening of a cool November day, a man and his wife rush to the hospital. Hours later, the start of a new generation of Ruggs has been born.
November 24th, of the year 1955 also happened to be Thanksgiving coincidence, I think not. As the story goes, right after dinner, which was always a great big turkey dinner, with all the fixins (this time it was a semi-catered affair with my father buying the meal from a local farm), my mother went into labor and had to leave immediately. I would always say that I was smart enough to hang around for turkey dinner. My sister always complained that she just got stuck cleaning up and doing all of the dishes that year - and, one would suppose; careing for my tow brothers.
Either way, my mother had two turkeys that year!

My first prodigy is created
We were young parents-to-be, our baby was to begin her life in the same hospital where both her parents began theirs.
Surprisingly, wwhile comparing newborn pictures of myself and her mother, it was discovered that the same nurse held each of us for our customary first pictures. What's even crazier is that the nurse who saw our pictures recognized the nurse in the pictures as a nurse still on staff in this very same hospital. So, we were able to get a picture of that (slightly more mature) nurse holding our newborn daughter.
I am very proud of the life my baby has created for hewrself and so very happy about the wonderful memories and super-happy times that we have shared over the years.
Thank you for entering and enhancing my life, Jennifer Ann Rugg.
